Job Description:
PORT & HARBORS DIRECTOR for the City of Ketchikan, Alaska. The Port & Harbors Director reports directly to the City Manager and is responsible for the management and administration functions of both the Harbors, which has 6 boat Harbors and 3 launch ramps and the Port which has 4 panamax sized cruise ship berths. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in maritime management, business administration, public administration, or a related field. Eight years of experience working in port and harbor or related marine industry including three years of management and administrative responsibility. Possession of or ability to obtain a valid driver’s license, a Company Security Officer certificate, and a TWIC card. $8,847.65-$11,916.56/month DOQ plus benefits.
