Job Description:
TEMPORARY PORT SECURITY GUARDS FOR THE 2024 CRUISE SHIP SEASON; APRIL - OCTOBER for the City of Ketchikan, Port & Harbors Department. The City of Ketchikan may hire 45 Port Security Guards, which is dependent upon the Cruise ship season. Responsible for port and pedestrian safety while cruise ships are in port. Temporary full-time; ability to work on feet for 8 to 10 hours per day regardless of weather conditions, work evenings, weekends and holidays; $21.00/hour; overtime may be required. Ability to pass a Federal background check and must possess a TWIC Card or be able to obtain upon hire. Position is opened until all positions are filled. EOE/AA.
